Documents tool in HubSpot allows you to upload and share documents with your contacts.
Upload document
- Go to Sales > Documents in your HubSpot account.
- Click Upload new document, then select the source from where you want to import your file.

Once the document is uploaded, you can see it on your documents dashboard.
Create a shareable link
- Go to Sales > Documents in your HubSpot account.
- Hover over the document, click the dropdown Actions, then select Create link.
- Enter the recipient's email address to whom you want to send the link.
- To track the individuals who has view this document, click Share Options, then switch on the toggle Require email address to view document.
- Click Create link.
- Either, click Copy to copy the link, or click Compose email to send an email with the document link.
Add a document to an email template
- Go to Conversations > Templates in your HubSpot account.
- Either, click New template, or click a template name to edit an existing one.
- At the bottom of the template editor, click the dropdown Insert, then select Document.
- Click the dropdown Document and select a document to add.
- Enter the text to display for the document link in the Link display text field.
- Select the checkbox Require email to view document if you want to track who views the document.
- Select the checkbox Include link preview to display a preview of your document in the email body.
- Click Insert.
Manage document
- Go to Sales > Documents in your HubSpot account.
- Click New Folder to create the folder in the upper right corner.
- Enter the name.
- Cick Create folder.
- Hover over the document name and click dropdown Actions.
- Click Download to download the form.
- Click Move to move the form to a folder
- Serach and select for the folder name.
- Click Move.
- Click Manage sharing to restrict access to the document.
- Click the document name
- Enable GDPR by switching on the toggle Enable Privacy and consent.
- Click dropdown Actions to take further actions on the document.
- Click dropdown Re-upload to re-upload the document.
