How you can create Sales Goals in HubSpot

Defining sales goals means to set objectives for a team to work towards. It allows sales reps to measure their effectiveness on the business. Managers can then assign these goals at the user, team, or pipeline level.

HubSpot has provided access to different goal measures according to subscription tiers:

  • Sales Hub Starter and Professional has access to Revenue goal measure. 
  • Sales Hub Enterprise has access to Calls logged, Deals created, Meetings booked, Revenue goal measures.
  • Service Hub Enterprise has access to Average ticket resolution time, Average ticket response time, Ticket closed goal measures.

Create goals 

  • Click the settings icon in the main navigation bar in your HubSpot account.
  • Go to Reports Goals in the left sidebar menu. 
  • Click Create.  
  • Click the dropdown Type of goal and select Sales or Services in the right panel. 
  • Click the dropdown Measurement to select a goal measure. Depending on your subscription, you can choose from the above-mentioned measures.
  • Select the Pipeline.
  • Select the checkboxes next to user name that you want to assign the goal to.
  • Click Add.
  • You can also edit the user's goals and set different values for different months. To the right of a team member's name, under the Month column click Create goal
  • If you want to set the same monthly goal for the entire year, enter the value, then select the checkbox Apply to remainder of year. 
  • Click Save.

Manage your goals

You can view your goals by measurement type, team, and pipeline.  

  • Click the settings icon in the main navigation bar in your HubSpot account.
  • Go to Reports Goals in the left sidebar menu. 
  • To filter by a goal measurement, click the dropdown above the list of users.
  • Team: click the dropdown to filter your users by the team.
  • Pipeline: If you are tracking revenue, click the dropdown Pipeline to view goals for a specific pipeline.
  • You can edit a month's goal value by clicking the current goal value. Enter a new value or select Clear goal.  
  • To remove a user from your goals dashboard, select the checkbox to the left of the user name and then click Delete at the top of the table.
