A brief guide to your HubSpot Deal Home

In HubSpot, a deal record is used to store and manage information on ongoing sales transactions with potential customers. A deal is tracked through pipeline stages.

All your deals are displayed in the deal home. You can:

  • you can view deals in a table format or a board format;
  • filter deals based on their property values;
  • create and save views; 
  • bulk edit deals and also delete them.

Manage the deals

  • Go to Sales > Deals in your HubSpot account.
  • In the upper right:
    • Actions: click to make changes to your deals.
      • Edit properties: select to edit your deal properties.
      • Restore deals: select to restore certain deleted deals. 
      • Add pipeline automation: select to automate tasks when a deal moves to a new stage.
      • Sales Analytics: sales analytics will be opened in a new tab. 
    • Import: click to import records. You can import new records, import to bulk update existing records, or import to bulk associate records.
    • Create deal: click to manually create a new deal.

View the deals

  • Go to Sales > Deals in your HubSpot account.
  • Your deals will be displayed in a table and will be sorted so the most recently created deal will be at the top by default.
  • To locate a specific deal, You can search for the deal in the search box.
  • Click the name of the deal to access the deal information.

Customize the table

Customize the table where your deals appear.

  • If you're in the board format, switch to the table view by clicking the table icon in the upper left.
  • To edit the properties shown in the table: 
    • Click Export view to export the particular view. In the new box, select the file format and click Export.
    • Click Table actions on the right and select Edit columns from the dropdown
      • Select the properties you want to appear in the table from the left side.
      • Drag and drop properties to the right side. You can arrange them to how you want them to appear in the table. Click x to remove a property.
      • Click Save
  • Click, hold, and drag the edge of the column to resize the columns.
  • Click, hold, and drag the drag-handle of the column to re-arrange the columns.
  • Click the property name at the top of the table, to sort the records using property values.

Customize the board

  • If you are in the table format, switch to the board view by clicking the board icon in the upper left. 
  • Only deals in a specific deal pipeline are shown in the board view.
  • To edit the properties shown in the board view, click Board action on the left.
    • To sort the records: click Sort from the dropdown. Click the dropdown Priority and select the property to sort by. Next, click the dropdown Sort by to determine the order.
    • To export view: click Export view to export the particular view. In the new box, select the file format and click Export.
    • To update the pipeline stages: click Edit stages. It will bring you to the deal settings. There you can drag and drop pipeline stages to the preferred location.
    • To choose the card style: to choose the card style means to choose the style in which you want your deals to display, click Edit card. Choose the card style and click Save.
  • To view and work on a record, click the name of the record. The view will open on the right side. 

View a specific subset of the deal records

In your deals home, you can save sets of filters as a view. This way, you don't have to set them up again and access them through the tabs.

  • To change views on the deal records:
    • In the table format: click the tab that you want to view.
    • In the board format: click the second dropdown at the top of the page and select the view you want.
  • To add a new view:
    • In the table format: click Add view to add a view.
    • In the board format: click the second dropdown at the top of the page and select Create new view.
  • To view all available views for your user:
    • In the table format: click All views.
    • In the board format: click the second dropdown at the top of the page and select All views.
